Millikin has partnered with Interfolio, an application portfolio management service, to provide your credential files in a more timely and cost-efficient manner. Previously, credential files were maintained by Career Center staff, who also gathered and mailed them to prospective employers or graduate schools upon request from alumni. However, with Interfolio, alumni can opt to store their credentials online and access them anytime. Professional recommendations can be easily uploaded by others, and the system can send electronic copies of your credentials overnight as needed. “I would say that for anyone sending out at least three or more files a year, the cost of using Interfolio is comparable to what the Career Center charges," says Pam Folger, director of the Career Center. "Alumni who choose to use the service must pay an annual $15 fee to Interfolio and a nominal fee to have files sent, but it is more convenient to use an online system and many school districts will now only accept electronic files." Interfolio can also be used to store resumes, writing samples, unofficial transcripts and more.
