Galleries

Perkinson

Perkinson Gallery, located within Millikin University's Kirkland Fine Arts Center, is a premiere venue for the exhibition of visual art and cultural events in central Illinois. Perkinson Gallery hosts a wide range of exhibitions which focus on work by professional artists from Illinois and the Midwest, in addition to work by artists with national recognition. Artists who have exhibited in Perkinson Gallery include: John Fraser, Frances Hynes, Lynne Cohen, Anita Jung, Michael Onken, Harold Boyd, David Bower, Todd DeVries, and Ray George.

The gallery has 2000 square feet of floor space, with 132 linear feet of wall space. The gallery is secured during off-hours.

Perkinson Gallery also hosts annual student and faculty exhibitions in addition to the biennial Works On Paper.

Studio

The studio gallery is located in Kirkland Fine Arts Center, between the Painting and Printmaking studios. It is a multi-functional gallery space used for impromptu art class critiques, student senior exhibits, and formal juried exhibits by visiting artists.

Lower

The lower gallery is located in Kirkland Fine Arts Center across from the Perkinson Gallery. This gallery is used primarily for specialty exhibits developed by Art Department faculty with the assistance of art students. Examples of exhibits might include visiting artists, items from the university permanent collections, and senior art student exhibits.
