The majority of the natural science programs (all but mathematics) are located in the newly constructed $18 million, 83,000 square foot Leighty Tabor Science Center located on the north side of Millikin's 75-acre campus. This four-floor building also features a penthouse observatory where science students have enjoyed examining the stars through Millikin's 20 inch telescope, one of the largest in Illinois.
