The Millikin University school nurse certification program is designed to prepare certified school nurses for the K-12 schools of Illinois. Upon successful completion of either valid option below, candidates will be recommended for the State of Illinois School Service Personnel Certificate (Type 73) with the School Nurse endorsement.

• Option One is for registered nurses (RN) with a baccalaureate degree.
  
• Option Two is for students enrolled in Millikin University's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
  
  Registered nurses without a bachelor's degree are not eligible for the school nurse program since state certification standards require bachelor's degree.
