Death & Dying : One of a trio of courses taught by Dr. Slayton, Dr. Frech (English Department) & Professor Rask (Music Department). The faculty are planning to take students to Amsterdam (Holland), Hanover (Germany), Krakow (Poland), and Prague (The Czech Republic) in the summer of 2009.

Areas Of Professional Interest: My doctoral dissertation, "Infusing HIV/AIDS issues into the baccalaureate curriculum: Faculty Participation" explored the HIV/AIDS educational efforts that occurred in institutions of higher education. Specifically, the purpose of the study was to identify the curricular and instructional beliefs, motivations, and decision-making practices of baccalaureate faculty members that influence whether or not they infuse AIDS/HIV issues into their courses.
