Angela Ambers-Henderson

Angela Ambers-Henderson was named the Director of the PACE program in March 2008. She began her Millikin career as the Faculty Coordinator of the PACE Criminal Justice Program in November 2006, and continues in this role in addition to the Director's position. Previously, Angela was an executive level college administrator as a member of the President’s Cabinet at Montgomery County Community College where she was the Director of Equity and Diversity Initiatives. During her time at Montgomery County Community College, Angela also served as the Director of the Criminal Justice and Fire Science Programs. She has practiced law as a Senior Trial Attorney for the Defender Association of Philadelphia, served as an arbitrator for the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia, taught as an Adjunct Professor of Paralegal Studies at Camden County College and an Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice Department at Lincoln College Normal. Angela currently serves on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board at Richland Community College, Decatur Community Support Advisory Council, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Blooming Grove Academy.

Karl Radnitzer is the Faculty Coordinator of the Pace Education programs. He has had 15 years of experience as a teacher or administrator at Oak Park District #97, University of Chicago Lab School, and was an administrator at Leal School in Urbana. Karl has also worked with the Ball Foundation as an educational consultant. In addition, he has done consulting for the Army Corps of Engineers that included program planning, evaluation and assessment.

Charles R. Smith serves as the Faculty Coordinator for the PACE Accounting Program which began in the fall of 2006. Charles spent five years developing the evening accounting program for adults. He has been a Millikin Tabor School of Business faculty for 15 years, and is currently an Associate Professor of Accounting. He has served in all the officer positions for the Central Chapter of the Illinois CPA Society, and is currently a Legislative Contact for the Society. Charles also oversees the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program at Millikin that utilizes college students to provide free tax assistance to low income citizens.

Isabel Ososki has served as the Faculty Coordinator of the PACE Nursing RN to BSN Program since 2004. She is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Millikin. Areas of professional interest include critical care nursing, cardiovascular, renal, and neurological topics, and multicultural and diversity issues in the classroom. Isabel is active in campus curricular reform and pedagogy issues. Professionally she is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Tau Delta. She and her husband raise and show collies, and are active in numerous professional collie associations and activities. She is a Canine Ambassador for the American Kennel Club.

Melanie joined the PACE program as a Student Services Associate and Advisor for PACE Education majors on Millikin’s campus in the fall of 2008. Previously, Melanie worked as a Student Services Manager in the Academic Advising Programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Melanie has also taught English Composition courses at Richland Community College and West Virginia University and volunteered as an adult literacy tutor.

Gail Crookshank joined the PACE Program as Coordinator of Marketing & Recruitment in July 2007. Previously, she owned and operated a retail business for three years. For eight years, she worked at Richland Community College as Executive Director of Marketing & Public Information and Executive Assistant to the President. Gail was the first Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of Illinois. She also has worked for Bachrach Clothing Company as a menswear buyer and mail-order catalog coordinator.

Carol Harding

Carol Harding has been the Academic Advisor for the PACE Organizational Leadership major since June 2005. She began working at Millikin in the Tabor School of Business in 1993, and was Office Manager/Event Coordinator in the Center for Entrepreneurship prior to joining the PACE department. Carol earned her B.S. Degree at Millikin in 2004 after enrolling in the first PACE Management and Organizational Leadership cohort offered. She has completed the Graduate Certificate Program in Academic Advising through Kansas State University. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the NOON Women’s Network, and SCORE (Counselors to America’s Small Business). She volunteers for St. Mary’s Hospital Perpetual Adoration, the Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council, and Junior Achievement. She and her husband, Joe, are co-owners of GJ Builders Hardware in Decatur.

Kim Murphy is the PACE program's Recruiter. She was the Administrative Assistant for the PACE program for three years prior to moving into the Recruiter position. Before joining the PACE team in 2003, Kim served as the MBA Secretary in the Tabor School of Business at Millikin University.

Keri Canaday

Keri Canaday has been the Coordinator of Enrollment Management for PACE since August 2006. Keri is a Millikin graduate from the Class of 2003. She has worked as a graphic designer/copywriter for an Internet company that specialized in eBay. Keri was a cast services coordinator for the Disney-MGM Studios in Lake Buena Vista, FL. She volunteers for the United Way, the Red Cross, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
